Waheed Ademola Alebiosu, an Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) stalwart in Lagos Island East Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, has called on residents of the area to close ranks and support ACN candidates for the forthcoming elections in the interest of their political future.
Alebiosu, a grassroots politician and councillorship aspirant from Ward F2, made the statement in a chat with LG Circuit recently.
While calling on the residents to shun electoral malpractices and violence but come out en masse and cast their votes, the politician particularly wants candidates representing the area in the coming elections to be victorious.
Aside Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, Alebiosu is also drumming support for the ambition of the senatorial candidate for Lagos Central District, Chief (Mrs.) Oluremi Tinubu; former Head of Service and candidate for the House of Representatives, Mr. Yaqub Balogun and Olawale Alawiye-King, who is the Lagos Island Constituency 1 candidate for the Lagos State House of Assembly in the coming elections, while also assuring his constituents that he would give then effective representation if given a chance as a councillor later in the year.
Meanwhile, the aspirant who is set to embark on house-to-house campaign for the ACN candidates, said he mobilised youths to register during the voter registration exercise and has been educated old and illiterate members of his constituency on the need to vote ACN during the polls.
