Mother of two, Mrs. Morayo Kolawole, has asked the Alimosho Grade ‘B’ Customary Court in Alimosho Local Government Area, Lagos to dissolve her marriage to her husband, Mr. Muyiwa Kolawole.
She attributed her request to the fact that her husband no longer loves her and doesn’t provide for her upkeep and that of the children of the marriage. “I cannot live under the same roof with him because I don’t love him again. He was always fighting me and abusing my parents. I packed out of the house two years ago when his troubles became too much,” she stated in her petition and appealed to the court to grant her custody of the children of the marriage.
In his response, her husband denied the allegations. He explained that it was the petitioner who packed out of his house two years ago but later came back in January this year to claim the children with force.
He urged the court to return the children to him because the petitioner disrupted their education when she took them away by force.
In his ruling, the president of the court ordered the petitioner to return the kids back to their father so that they can continue their education.
The estranged couple had their traditional marriage on 30 October, 1999 and were blessed with two kids, who reside with them at 25, Abeokuta Street, Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos.
