Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola, (SAN) has condoled with his Katsina State counterpart, Alhaji Ibrahim Shema who lost his Aide decamp, ASP Aminu Ibrahim and four others to a ghastly accident on Tuesday.
In a letter dated 16 March which he personally signed, Fashola said he shared the deep anguish with Shema over the death of such a close and effective confidant and aide.
He thanked God for sparing the lives of Governor Shema and others who survived the accident.
Fashola prayed Allah to continue to protect politicians during this period of electioneering campaigns.
â€œThe untimely demise of this patriotic public officer who served his country with dedication is a great loss to Katsina State and Nigeria,â€ Fashola wrote in the condolence letter.
He prayed Allah to grant the departed souls eternal rest and comfort their loved ones.
While traveling by road along Katsina-Daura road to join President Goodluck Jonathan who was flying in from Zamfara State Governor Shemaâ€™s convoy was involved in a ghastly accident on Tuesday.
His ADC and four others died while others sustained injuries.
