Alhaji Tumba Ibrahim, the governorship candidate of Labour Party (LP) in Taraba, has urged the people of the state to vote according to their conscience in the April general elections.
Ibrahim made the appeal at a campaign rally in Lau, near Jalingo on Thursday.
He advised the people to collect the money allegedly being offered by some disgruntled politicians, but vote for the right candidates during the elections.
“Many politicians who have no manifesto are carrying money around to buy your votes. I urge you to collect their money but vote wisely according to your conscience.
“I want to tell you that the issue of governance is beyond money. It is about competence, it’s about capability and diligence,†he said.
He added that Taraba needed serious governor who would use its abundant natural resources to create employment and generate income.
Earlier, Mr. John Yep, the LP deputy governorship candidate of the state said LP was the only party that truly represented the change that Nigerians were yearning for.
He advised the electorate to vote for the party’s candidates at all levels, to foster development in the state.(NAN)
