ACN Does Not Promise And Fail —Balogun

Razak Balogun, the lawmaker representing Surulere Constituency 2 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has said his party, the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), does not fail in its promises to the people.

The medical doctor turned politician made the remark at the party’s rally in his constituency where he was handed the party’s flag alongside Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu.

While Balogun is seeking re-election to the Assembly, Tinubu is seeking election into the Senate to represent Lagos Central Senatorial District.

Addressing the crowd at the rally, the lawmaker said the party would continue to fulfil its promises to the people as it does not operate the practice of ‘promise and fail.’

According to him, “so many things have happened here. There is water works here that has been functioning and generally, we have represented the people very well.

“Our manifesto is very clear. We have done a lot and people love us for it.

“We have provided infrastructure and in this constituency, while we have ensured that basic social amenities have been provided.”

He explained that apart from renovation of schools which were in dilapidated state before 2007, he has more than 100 students on his scholarship list, while students’ NECO fees were still being paid.

Also speaking, a leader of ACN in the constituency, Colonel Ajala, told the party supporters to woo non members in their favour.

“On the day of election, make sure you drag them from their homes so that they can vote for us,” he charged them.
