Basking in the euphoria of his U-23 Eagles’ 4-0 spanking of National League club, Bendel Insurance in a friendly at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin yesterday, Coach Austin Eguavoen has charged the team to do more in their next game.
The U-23 Eagles are currently training ahead of their 2012 Olympic Games qualifier against Equatorial Guinea in Benin on Saturday and the friendly match was to test the fitness of the players ahead of the qualifier.
Eguavoen said the players should work more on their areas of weakness between now and Saturday when they will confront their opponents, adding that all eyes are on them to secure the three points from the crucial game.
Leicester City of England forward Daniel Chima Uchechi, who played for Nigeria at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt in 2009, scored the first goal, before goals by Ayo Saka, Osas Okoro and Super Eagles Ekigho Ehiosun sealed a comfortable win, four days before the qualifier.
