Friends Arrested For Robbery

Anti-robbery policemen attached to Area ‘H’ Command, Ogudu, Lagos have arrested two friends with a gun and ammunition.

The suspects, Olaleye Adeyeri and Femi Obaterun, of no fixed address were arrested by policemen on patrol at Ladi-Lak Primary School, Bariga.

A double barrel gun and 11 catridges concealed in a bag were found on them when searched.

In his statement to the police, Olaleye Adeyeri allegedly stated: “Someone kept the gun and ammunition with us. We have provided the name of the person and address to the police. We have also accepted to lead them to his hideout.”

The incident is being investigated by detectives at the State CID, Panti, Yaba, where the suspects are being kept.

In another incident, the driver of a Nissan Maxima vehicle, Mr. Wale Adedeji was involved in an accident along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was confirmed dead.

Traffic policemen from Oke-Odo Division, it was learnt, visited the scene and took his corpse to the Ikeja General Hospital mortuary for autopsy.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Samuel Jinadu, confirmed the incidents.
