Police Arrest NITEL Cable Vandals, Impound Truck

The police in Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, have arrested two NITEL cable vandals. A truck used by the vandals to convey the loot was seized by the police.

The suspects’ names were given as Collins Izeuchukwu and Ahmed Adegbite.

P.M.NEWS source revealed that following a tip-off from members of the public, the police patrol team attached to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba, trailed the suspects to second gate bus top, Ikeja, where they were arrested around 4. a.m.

The suspects, P.M.NEWS gathered loaded a Mack Truck with registration number ZQ 08 KTU with NITEL cables when they were arrested and taken to the station where they confessed to the crime.

While confirming the story, the state Police Public Relation Officer, Mr. Samuel Jinadu, appealed to members of the public to always report any illegal activities in their areas, promising that prompt action would always be taken by the police.

The police image maker also promised that the police would do everything to ensure a peace and security during the forthcoming general election.
