A businessman, Mr. Abimbola Mayigbo, has dragged his wife, Mrs. Bola Mayigbo before an Alimosho Customary Court seeking the dissolution of their marriage.
The petitioner accused his wife of using charms on him and always fighting him.
“She complains about almost everything I do. We fight over every little thing and she is not submissive,’’ he stated in his petition.
The petitioner also accused his wife of being a destroyer, stressing that she was fond of destroying his properties after every quarrel.
“Whenever I try to correct her, she will start abusing and threatening me with charms.
“She does not care about me and our child. She is very troublesome. I want this marriage annuled because we are no longer living together. I am not ready to live with her again,†he added.
The petitioner who told the court that he got married to the respondent on 18 June, 2007, under the native law and custom, said he was ready to forgo everything he had given her, adding that he was no longer in love with her.
He added that he was ready to take responsibility for the daily upkeep of their only child who is living with his mother.
The matter has been adjourned to give the respondent opportunity to state her own side of the story.
