Man Docked For Theft
A man, Adedayo Seyi Funmi, 25 has been charged with theft at the Cele Magistrate’s Court, Isolo, Lagos State.
Funmi was alleged to have stolen a handbag containing recharge cards of different networks and denominations, valued at N200,000 from one Akeem Adesina.
The accused is facing a one-count charge of stealing, an offence punishable under Section 390(4)(a) of the Criminal Code, Cap. C.38, Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2004.
The charge reads: “That you, Adedayo Seyi Funmi on 12 March, 2011 at about 11 a.m. at Cele Roundabout, Itire Magisterial District, did steal a handbag containing various recharge cards of different networks and denominations valued at N200,000 from one Akeem Adesina and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 390(4)(a) of the Criminal Code, Cap.C.38, Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2004.â€
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge and the presiding magistrate, Mrs. C.T. Ikpatt granted him bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The case has been adjourned till 18 April, 2011 for trial.
