The police at Ajah Police Division, Eti-Osa, Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria, have arrested a man who specialises in collecting money from people on the pretence of helping them to invest in oil business to make profit.
The police alleged that the suspect, Morakinyo Akintunde, in April 2010 at Lekki, Eti-Osa Local Government Area, tricked Mrs. Dele Adeboye to part with N2.2 million on the pretence of investing the money in oil business for her to make profit.
The victim reported the matter to the police and the suspect was arrested. He allegedly confessed to the crime during interrogation.
A Police source told P.M.NEWS that the suspect has been arraigned before the Igbosere Magistrate’s Court for fraud.
