School Sports: Yellow House Win Nigerian Model Tourney

Pupils and students of Nigerian Model Nursery, Primary and High School, Idi-oro, Mushin, Lagos, recently took to the tracks to battle for honours during their annual Inter House Sports competition held at the Nigerian Institute for Sports (NIS) practice pitch, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria.

The competition saw the children taking part in different events, which include filling the bottle, sack race, 100m.

At the end of the annual school sports event, Yellow House emerged overall winners, Green House came second, Peach House was third, while Red House occupied the fourth position in the overall medal table.

Speaking at the event, winner of the senior boys 100m race, Okafor Chukwudi, a SSS 3 student, said he was happy  to win the race.

“I give thanks to God for this historic feat I recorded today (Friday) and I want to thank my fans  for  their support,” he said.

Commenting on her achievement, winner of the female event, Rashidat Husseni, a SSS 1 student of  the school revealed that it was her first time of  winning the  race event  since she gained admission to the school about four years ago.
