Group Mobilises Lagos Mainland Electorate On Credible Polls

A political group, Mainland Union Movement (MUM), last weekend embarked on mobilisation of the electorate in Lagos Mainland Local Government Area and Yaba Local Council Development Area of Lagos State ahead of next month’s general elections.

The group, led by Alhaji Akerele, organised rallies to motivate the people of the areas not to be apathetic to the forthcoming elections but take active part in the exercise and ensure that they vote for people they know can provide their needs.

The mobilisation exercise took MUM members round the various communities of the local councils and saw their leaders canvassing for votes for Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) candidates vying for the various political posts in the coming elections, especially re-election of Governor Babatunde Fashola, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, the party’s candidate for the Lagos Central Senatorial District, her House of Representatives counterpart, Monsuru Owolabi Alao a.k.a. BATOLA and Olanrewaju Oshun and Basiru Odesanya-Oloto, representatives of the areas in the state House of Assembly respectively.
