Ikuforiji Flags Off Re-Election Campaign

The campaign for the re-election of Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Adeyemi Ikuforiji has been flagged off at the Ikeja Playing Ground with his declaration that if elected, much effort would be made in the next dispensation to protect the interests of the people in the state.

Ikuforiji, Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) candidate for the House of Assembly election, moves from Epe to contest for the Ikeja 1 Constituency seat.

Shortly after receiving the flag of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) from the paty’s Chairman, Mr. Dele Ajomale, the Speaker told the crowd that a good foundation has been laid for the state government to improve upon, adding that a lot of development has been carried out by the government under Governor Babatunde Fashola (SAN) since the inception of the administration.

He appealed to Lagosians not to vote for any party other than ACN, insisting that votes for the party’s candidates in all the elections would translate to more progress and development for the people of Lagos State. He said other parties are pretenders and bunch of misfits who should be shunned by the electorate.

Other candidates from Lagos West Senatorial Zone that were given the party’s flag at the event included Senator Ganiyu Solomon, Mr. Abiodun Faleke (House of Representatives) and Hon. Lola Akande (House of Assembly Ikeja 11) .

Addressing the ACN supporters, the former Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu said Lagosians should vote massively for the Governor, the speaker and other ACN candidates in the April poll. He warned them not to be deceived by Labour Party, disclosing that some ACN members that decamped to the party are saboteurs.
