NHGCC Ordains 200 Deacons In Lagos

National Holy Ghost Church of Christ on Sunday in Lagos, southwest Nigeria ordained 200 members of the church as Deacons

Speaking during the ordination ceremony held at its Lagos provincial headquarters in Oshodi Lagos, General Overseer of the church, Archbishop Dennis Josephson, urged  the newly ordained deacons to see themselves as ambassadors of Jesus Christ.

On the forthcoming election, he called on Christians in Nigeria to pray for God’s intervention to enable Nigerians elect credible politicians.

Also speaking with P.M.NEWS at the event, Elder George Okoye, General Secretary, Police Community Relations Committee, Makinde, Oshodi, expressed gratitude to God and the leadership of the church for finding him worthy to be ordained as Deacon

“With the ordination, I will rededicate my life to the service of God and humanity, ensure that PCRC works with the police and the Makinde Community for peace, unity and harmony, especially as the nation is preparing for the April general election

The event, which was hosted by Rev Uchenna Ifejilika, resident pastor  of the church  for Mafoluku Oshodi province, attracted more about 5,000 persons within and outside Lagos.
