Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, candidate in Ogun East Senatorial District in Saturday’s election, Alhaji Adegbenga Kaka’s house in Ijebu Igbo was yesterday, vandalised by a group suspected to belong to ‘Omo Ilu’ Foundation.
The incident which occurred about 6 p.m. yesterday forced many residents of Oke Agbo scampering for safety as the attackers shot into the air sporadically. More than six vehicles in the compound were vandalised when the building was attacked.
Speaking with P.M.NEWS on phone this morning, the former Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Alhaji Kaka confirmed the attack.
He said ACN opponents are jittery in the wake of the election because the wind of change was blowing towards Ogun State which no amount of intimidation or harassment by the opponent can stop.
“Harassment or intimidation, the ACN will win in Ogun State. No amount of thuggery or illegal actions could stop our party from emerging victorious,†Kaka said.
He declined to comment on who was responsible for the attack but said he will be expecting police investigation to unveil the attackers.
This morning, sympathisers and his loyalists besieged his residence to console him.
One of the early callers was the ACN deputy governorship candidate in Ogun State, Chief Adesegun Oresegun.
