Vice-Presidential Candidate of Congress for Progressives Change (CPC), Pastor Tunde Bakare yesterday stormed his hometown, Abeokuta to seek for votes from his kinsmen and residents of Ogun State for his party as elections begin tomorrow.
Bakare who was accompanied by the party’s South-West Coordinator Presidential Campaign, Lanre Tejuoso, and other chieftains of the party held a rally at Ake Palace, Abeokuta, where he also presented party candidates contesting for various political offices in Ogun State.
The candidates for the Senate include Alhaji Taofeek Lawal (Central Senatorial District), Barrister Abiodun Akinboyede (West Senatorial), while Lekan Abiola, Hon Musefiu Lamidi Olatunji will contest for seats in the lower chambers of the National Assembly.
Candidates for the Ogun State House of Assembly include Oluwaseun Oremade, Godwin Odeyemi, Aliu Adekunle, Morenikeji Sobaloju, Joaqim Fagbemi, Tosin Meadows Ogunbona, Temitope Ismael Shitta and Grace Olufunso Adekunle
Addressing party supporters at the rally, Bakare who is also the General Overseer of Latter Rain Assembly, said it was time for progressive change in governance.
He said in view of this, the electorate should reason well and ensure the importance of voting into power at all levels, candidates who are progressive minded and ready to contribute positively to the growth of the nation.
