INEC In Logistics Fiasco

INEC officials have failed to arrive at polling stations in Eti-Osa in Lagos state and in most towns in Ijebu area of Ogun state.

As at 10 a.m, voters were still waiting for the INEC officials and voting materials at Moba and Alagutan in the Eti-Osa council in Lagos Central Senatorial district.

In Ijebu Ode, voters are facing the same frustration.

Mrs. Adewoyin, an INEC electoral officer in the town said her men had gone to collect voting materials as early as 7am, but they are yet to surface at polling centres. The hiccups being experienced in polling centres conflicted the assurances given by the INEC chairman, professor Attahiru Jega that the commission was ready to conduct a hitch free poll.
