School Sports: Blue House Rules Komfota Sports Day

Blue House on Friday emerged the overall winners of the 3rd Inter-House Sports Competition of Komfota Schools, Ketu, Lagos.

Blue House grabbed 27 medals on the overall table to win the event while Yellow House, who won the match past, finished in the second position. Red House and Green House placed third and positions respectively.

Speaking at the occasion, the proprietress of the school, Mrs. Comfort Omotayo expressed gratitude to God for the success of the School’s sports day. She said this year’s edition was glamorous and that it was a memorable event.

“We thank God Almighty for the success of the Annual Inter-House Sports. I was impressed with the performances of the all Houses but I must confess that the better House won the event,” she said.

In his own submission, chairman of the occasion, Mr Gbenro Oluwole charged the parents to encourage their children to involve in one sport or the other. He said sports will help the child to grow fast and will be physically fit in his or her studies.

The competition witnessed personalities in all area walk of life. Among the guests who witnessed the historic event are Chief Mrs. Yetunde Arobieke, the Chairman, Agboyi/Ketu L.C.D.A Mr. Oluwole Gbenro, Otumba F.A. Mabadeje, Professor Mopelola of Dept. of Education, University of Lagos, Engr. Iluyemi, Sir and Lady Obinna, Dr. Mrs. Odufuwa, Pa Omotayo the Chief Host, among others.

Meanwhile, the victorious Houses and athletes have been celebrating their medals, while the proprietress of the school, Mrs. Omotayo has challenged them to raise the bar when the next edition of the Inter-House Sports hold next year.
