A security guard, Gbenda Terkaa, was on Monday arraigned before an Abuja Chief Magistrate’s Court for negligence.

The Police Prosecutor, Simon Ibrahim, told the court that one Mr. Anthony Bose, had lodged a complaint against Terkaa and one Terhemba Ali at the Utako Police Station on March 24.

He said the complainant had cashed N1 million from a bank and drove to his office at Pasty Plaza where the two persons were the guards on duty.

Ibrahim said the complainant parked his vehicle close to the security guards and entered his office only to discover that the vehicle’s door glass had been broken and the money stolen.

He said the second accused person disappeared after the incident.

Terkaa, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge, saying he was posted to the Pedestrian Gate that day and had nothing to do with the theft.
