The Conference of Nigerian Political Parties, CNPP, in Ekiti State has adopted the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Central Senatorial candidate, Babafemi Ojudu, as its candidate in the senatorial district.
At a news briefing in Ado-Ekti, the Ekiti CNPP said as a partner in the development of the state and having considered the antecedents of candidates in the district, it is certain that Babafemi Ojudu will perform excellently at the Senate.
The CNPP also predicated its decision on the performance of Governor Kayode Fayemi, whom they say has the love of the Ekiti State at heart, adding that the governor needs all the support he can get to succeed.
According to the CNPP, a senator from an opposition party might create unnecessary distraction for the governor.
CNPP adds that it behoves on all Ekiti indigenes who want the governor to succeed to support what would make him succeed to support what would make him stay focused.
At the news briefing were all executive members of the CNPP amongst who were the chairman, Prince Tunji Ogunlola, Vice Chairman, Chief Francis Ibitoye, Secretary, Victor Akinola and the Director of Strategy, Omolayo Ilesanmi.
