One of the fast moving consumer brands from the stable of the Nigeriaâ€™s leading bottling company, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Legend Extra Stout has launched a monthly consumer marketing show in partnership with Nigeriaâ€™s most popular and elitist night club, The Coliseum. The show, themed â€˜Real Deal Nightâ€™ is slated for last Wednesday of every month till the end of this year.
At the maiden edition of the monthly gig, Wednesday March 30, 2011 inside the main auditorium of the Coliseum, guests and brand enthusiasts of Legend were given the Real Deal Experience of the Legend Extra Stout.
For taste acquisition, the brand owners provided vivacious and eclectic young ladies who were on ground to encourage brand trial of Legend by non stout drinkers. Both new and old consumers were given free chilled bottle of Legend, branded freebies and other partying gifts.
Those who tasted the brand for the first time were shocked at the quality of the taste. One of them, Mr. Benjamin Craig, a 27 year old Lagos based banker, testified to the real rich stout taste of Legend. â€œI assure you, Legend taste great. I never knew it was this good. I had been on other brand until this night. I advise Nigerian Breweries to keep up the good workâ€, Craig stated.
The event was part of the brandâ€™s consumers marketing plan where beer drinkers are given free ticket to the high brow club to enjoy a free chilled bottle of Legend Extra Stout, mesmerize by a popular comic act, listen to gyrating music of a live band and disc jockey while at the same time, giving the opportunity to participate in an on-the-spot live raffle draw. Lucky consumers every month will go home with fantastic prizes ranging from 34 inches LCD television set, home theatre music system and other consolation prizes.
Explaining the idea behind the show, the Brand Manager, Legend Extra Stout, Mr. Funso Ayeni, disclosed that Legend is using this as a platform to reward and appreciate their numerous consumers and display the attributes of the brand, at the same time, give consumers opportunity to have a free taste of the Legend Extra Stout.
On the brand proposition of Legend, Ayeni disclosed that â€œLegend is the authentic choice of beer for the man out there who is confident enough to be himself. It is about realness, authenticity and freedom, those are our brand essence.
