Olusanya Pry School Holds Sports Day

Bishop Olusanya House, Yellow House were adjudged the best at the 2nd Annual Inter-House Sports Competition of Olusanya Primary School, Agege, Lagos state, Nigeria.

The sports day took place yesterday at the Oba Komolafe Sports Centre in Ilepako, Amoo Street, Agege, Lagos.

The houses that featured in the sports competition are Sarapa Balogun House, Red House, Bishop Olusanya House, Yellow House and Atowo House; Blue house.

Bishop Olusanya House, that featured its young athletes in yellow sports wears, shot to the lead on the ovearall table with a total of eight gold, 11 silver and four bronze medals.

Blue House gave the leaders a tough chase, as they grabbed a total of eight gold, two silver and 9 Bronze medals, while Green House finished 3rd. Red House came 4th in the competition.

The Head Teacher, Mrs. Ayorinola Oluwatoyin Adebola is glad that God has blessed the school, especially making it possible for Olusanya Primary school to hold its 2nd Annual Inter-House Sports.

“This is the first time that our school will hold the Inter-House Sports at the Standard Sport Centre. Apart from this, it was organized by experienced hands, which made it a success.”Whilr giving thanks to Bishop Julius Babatunde Olusanya, parents of the school including the pupils, who supported the Sports Day, she expressed satisfaction over the successful event.

The Olusanya Primary school was founded in 1928 by the late Rev. Olusanya, before it was taken over by the Lagos State government in 1974.

The chairman of the school, Bishop Julius Babatunde Olusanya, in his remarks, recognised the children and his late father whom he said worked hard during his life time.

He added that others should emulate his father’s style of life. Having inherited great achievement from his late father, he commended the effort of the teachers of Olusanya Primary School. He said the school has the highest population of pupils in Agege as a whole.
