The Voting process in Abuja

pmnews-placeholder

National Assembly elections commenced in most parts of Federal Capital Territory this morning with turn slightly below what was witnessed last week. Accreditation commenced very early and the process has nearly been completed in most of the polling stations.

In Mpape, a sprawling slum near the elitist Maitaima junction, a polling officer confirmed that the turn out was actually lower than what was witnessed last week. He however confirmed that the process of accreditation has been very smooth.

In Lagos District 2.1 in Kubwa, another suburb of Abuja, those accredited are already queueing up, preparatory to casting their ballots.

Other areas visited at the surburb also recorded large turn out of voters.

Some voters however complained of their inability to find their names on the Voters’ Register.
