PDP Edges Out Other Parties In Plateau State

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP  has won five out the six  Federal  constituency seats , where elections were conducted in Plateau state.

 

Results of the House Representatives election announced by  Resident Electoral Commissioner, Habu Zarma showed that the PDP won  Barkinladi/Riyom, Jos south/Jos East , Lantang South/Lantang North, Shendam/Mikang/Qua’an pan  and Mangu/Bokkos federal contituencies.While Action Congress of Nigeria ,ACN won the Wase federal constituency .In Barkinladi/Riyom the PDP candidate Mwadkon Simon polled 72,268 votes to emerge the winner of the elections . while Goyul Emmanuel Danboyi of Labour Party got 26, 217 votes and the ACN candidate Gyang Dalyop Gyang polled 1,587 votes. While in the Jos South/Jos East elections, the PDP candidate and current House member Bitrus Kaze overwhemingly won the election with a total votes of 94, 774. He defeated  Choji Augustine of LP , who polled 26,460 votes. In a keenly contested  Mangu/Bokkos elections, Aminu Jonathan of PDP won with total votes of 78,772 votes. On his tail was  the Labour Party candidate James Ayuba  who got 74,920 votes .The Lantang South/Lantang North election saw Beni Lar , the PDP candidate and current House member polling 60,426 votes to beat her closest rival , Dadi Hitler Fankun of ACN , who  got 22, 256 votes .Innocent Zettet of PDP polled 65,786 to emerge winner of the Shendam/Mikang/Qua’an pan
