The Chairman of Apapa-Iganmu Local council Development Area, Dr. Samuel Adesola Adedayo has said that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, will live up to the expectations of Nigerians in the 2011 general elections.

He said this while addressing journalists at his Apapa-Iganmu constituency, where he had gone to cast his vote. According to him, “INEC’s job is enormous and one does not expect the commission’s chairman, Prof Attahiru Jega, to be in two places at the same time. He can only do his best, but in all fairness, we should not castigate the commission as irregularities will be amended in subsequent elections.

On the text messages against Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu and the Lagos chapter of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, he said the messages were from bad losers who left the party for other political parties. He noted that this is very unfair to an eminently qualified woman, considering her track record of achievements.
