Yellow House Shines At Jobam Inter House Sport

Yellow House has emerged the winner of the Jobam Memorial Schools Inter House Sports Competition held recently at the Apostolic Church Grammar School, Ketu, Lagos State.

The biennal sports competition saw Yellow House clinching eight gold, four silver and seven bronze medals to become the overall winner on the table.

Blue House who placed second position got seven gold, five silver and five bronze medals.

In other results, Pink House won five gold, six silver and four bronze medals, while Green House was fourth on the medal table.

The proprietress of the school, Mrs. Adetoun Bamidele, expressed joy that the competition was successful and urged parents and guardians to allow their children to engage in sports while in school. She said parents that deny their children from participating in sports will kill the talents of the youngsters.

“My advice is that parents and guardians and stakeholders should endeavour to encourage their children and wards to participate in sports. This will help the children to have rapid growth and strength to compete with their mates in school during sports competition,” she said.

P.T.A. Chairman, Mr. Felix Dumiye, also commended the school for the success of the competition. He said the school inter-house sports has really brought out the best in the students.
