A police officer, Mr. Irewole Olusesan has dragged his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Irewole before an Agege Grade ‘A’ Customary Court, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria seeking the dissolution of his marriage over infidelity.

He accused his wife of having an affair with another man whose name and position in the organisation was not disclosed.

The petitioner also accused his wife of being troublesome and not submissive, adding that there is no more love between them as a couple.

In his petition, he stated: ”I used to send her N10,000 monthly as feeding allowance when I was posted to Lokoja in Kogi State. When I came back, I saw bed bugs everywhere. The whole house was dirty. I told her to excuse me for a while, expecting that when she gets home, her parents would call me but they didn’t.

“She lied to her parents that my mother doesn’t want me to eat her food which has now resulted into a rift between her mother and mine. I don’t love her any longer.”

On accusation of adultery levelled against him by his wife, he replied: “As a policeman, I deal with the public and I have warned her several times not to touch my phone but she insisted on calling any female number that she finds in my phone. So, I reported her to my parents.”
