A lawmaker representing Lagos Island Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Abdul Wahab Olawale Alawiye-King, has commended the people of Lagos State, especially the residents of his constituency, for shunning the incentives offered by opposition parties and for voting massively for candidates of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in the National Assembly elections held last Saturday.

In a statement released on Monday and made available to LG Circuit, Alawiye-King said that more than ever before, he believed in the potency of the power and the resolve of the people of the state to vote for candidates of their choice.

According to him, the resounding victory the ACN recorded at the polls on Saturday, in spite of the gang up and campaigns of calumny against the party’s national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other leaders, was a clear indication that Lagosians were ready for continuity of good governance.
