We Are Satisfied With Election Results -PDP

Leaders of the People’s Democratic Party in Kogi State, have expressed their satisfaction with the National Assembly elections which was held on Saturday, last week.

The state chairman of PDP, Honourable Hassan Saliu, said the party is satisfied with the electoral process, and showered encomium on the Professor Attahiru Jega’s Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for a job well done.

Saliu noted that this is evident in the comments of international observers who described the election the best so far in Nigeria, adding that those criticising it are doing so out of mere desperation.

“I don’t know why our opposition are desperate. One of our candidates, Shabba lost in the election and we didn’t make any noise. Those complaining are only taking medicine after death,” he hinted.

The PDP chairman was reacting to the claim made by some opposition parties in the state that the NASS election was not free, fair and transparent.

There had been petitions from the All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP) and Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) that the PDP rigged the election.
