Laolu Akins, Ayuba On War Path
There are strong indications that ace producer, Laolu Akins, is set to take Adewale Ayuba and Lati Alagbada and Sons to court over copyright infringement.

An informed source revealed that Ayuba had given the marketing right of his works including Bubble and Mr. Johnson Play For Me, produced by Laolu Akins, to Alhaji Lati Alagbada owned Lati Alagba and Sons without the consent of all stakeholders.
The albums were recorded and released on the stable of Sony Music in 1991 and 1992 respectively. The defunct label was owned by Keji Okunowo.
The source added that by law, Sony Music and the producer of such albums ought to have properly spelt out the issue of payment of royalty before rights could be transferred to any person or corporate body.
Veteran Laolu Akins has produced several top acts and award winning albums including those of Sir Sina Peters, Onyeka Onwenu, Mike Okri and Adewale Ayuba.
Bubble won Ayuba FMA award and Laolu Akins as the producer, a Platinum as it sold more than 250,000 copies.
Speaking on the issue, the ace producer said he is not aware of such deals while all efforts to reach Ayuba and boss of Lati Alagbada and Sons for their comments proved abortive.
