A stalwart of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Babatunde Olalere Gbadamosi, has declared that the party relies on the people to liberate the state from the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN.

“Our strategy to win the state is to persuade the people. We are going to convince the people to vote for us. This we have been doing since 2007 and that is what gave us victory in the by-election held in Ibeju Lekki and Ikorodu. That is how we are going to win the election in the state.

“We are not a media party, we are a political party on the ground. We go to the people, talk to them, find what their problems are and proffer solution to them. People can see that we are genuine and a party that is not controlled by one man. “We are people that want the best for Lagosians and because of that people will vote for PDP in the governorship election,” Gbadamosi stated.

The PDP chieftain assured that if Lagosians elected the PDP governorship candidate, Dr. Shamsideen Ade Dosunmu, as their governor, the party will seek new electricity distribution network, similar to the one in Abuja, where all the electric cables will be buried underground, while the only surface cable available will be for emergency power distribution.

He explained that the new distribution network will  boost electricity generation from 4,000 megawatts to a higher number. The former governorship aspirant promised that a PDP governor in Lagos State will improve the security system and called on Lagosians to vote for  Dosunmu on 26 April, so that the state can benefit from Federal Government programmes.
