Seven ad hoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have been arrested for violating the provisions of the Electoral Act during the presidential election in Kogi state.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmadu Abubakar who nabbed the erring INEC staff reported that they commenced the voting process as early as 10am contrary to the 12:30pm stipulated by the act.
They were arrested by the INEC REC himself at Abosho, Dekina Local Government Area of the state and handed over to the police at Dekina.
