Plateau State Governor, Jonah David Jang and the Commander, Special Task Force, STF have condoled family members of the lady killed and those injured by an over zealous soldier at Utang Village, Jos, Plateau State.
On Saturday 16, a soldier and member of Plateau Special Task Force opened fire on a man on motorcycle and his female passenger who refused to stop for a check.
The stray bullets killed Juliana Bulus and injured the motorcycle rider currently on treatment at Birmingham Hospital in Jos.
In two separate statements, Governor Jang and STF Commander, Umar Hassan expressed regret over what they described as regrettable action of the soldier involved.
The STF commander promised to take disciplinary action against the soldier.
He also reassured the citizens of Plateau of STF’s commitment to providing security in the state.
