The Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area, Hon. Omolaja Adelaja has terminated the appointment of seven members of his staff.
P.M.NEWS learned that those whose appointments were terminated include the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Saikiru Oladega and the six supervisory councilors, namely Monsuru Ismail, Supervisor for Health; Adeshina Joshua, Supervisor for Agriculture and Social Development; Ligali Olatunde, Special Adviser on Health and Environment; Afolabi Onasanya, Special Adviser on Special Duties; Waliu Ismail, Special Adviser on Youth and Alhaja Muheenat Afolake Balogun, Senior Special Assistant on Women Affairs.
According to a letter dated 15 April, 2011, signed by the Executive Chairman Eredo LCDA, Hon. S.O Adelaja, titled: ‘Re: Report of Anti-Party Activities by Political Office Holders in Eredo Local Council Development Area,’ it stated: “With reference to an earlier letter sent to Chairman, Action Congress of Nigeria with reference No.CH/ERLCDA/12/13 on the subject and his subsequent approval in that respect, the appointment of the affected political office holders in Eredo Local Council Development Area has been terminated with immediate effect.”
While thanking the ACN Chairman, Chief Henry Ajomale for his support, the Eredo LCDA chairman also sent a copy of the letter to the Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Adeyemi Ikuforiji.
P.M.NEWS gathered further that the Executive Secretary for Education, Epe Local Government Area, S.A. Balogun, has also been relieved of his appointment.
