'No Vacancy In Lagos'

Governorship candidates of political parties in Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, have been urged to jettison their dream of contesting for the number one seat in the state.

Comrade Abdullahi Taiwo, the leader of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Youth Wing which decamped to the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, recently said this while speaking with P.M.NEWS.

Taiwo said, “our decision to back Governor Raji Fashola in his second term bid is based on his numerous achievements. It is on this note that we are calling on Dr. Ade Dosumu and others contesting for the seat to steer clear.

“We look at the PDP-controlled states and what we saw is not encouraging; it is on this premise that we decided to support and campaign for Governor Fashola’s re-election.

The group also called on all Lagosians to cast their votes for Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, candidates for the states’ House of Assembly and House of Representatives, which elections are yet to be conducted.

Taiwo urged the Lagosians not to be disturbed about the presidential election that gave victory to President Goodluck Jonathan, but to go out en masse and vote for ACN candidates.
