Jonathan Sacks Minister

President Goodluck Jonathan has ordered the immediate suspension of Capt. Emmanuel Iheanacho as Minister of Interior and member of the Federal Executive Council.
He has been directed to hand over to Emeka Wogu, the Minister of Labour.
The suspension of the Minister who was a shipping magnate was contained in a press release signed by Ima Niboro, Senior Special Adviser to the President this afternoon.
“Capt. Iheanacho has been directed to hand over to the Minister of Labour, Mr. Emeka Wogu, who will, in addition to his present portofolio, oversee that ministry.
Niboro added that: “Capt. Iheanacho’s suspension comes as a result of a number of lapses in the political leadership of the ministry traceable to his personal and official conduct.
“For now, his continued manning of the ministry is not in the interest of the nation.
Iheanacho was recently accused on working against the Peoples Democratic Party in Imo State during the last parliamentary polls.
He has however denied this.
Soon after his appointment, he was also involved in a brawl with the Permanent Secretary of his ministry.
