Chairman, Badagry West Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Mr. Bamgbose H. Joseph, has said that Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos State, who is Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) candidate in next Tuesday’s governorship election will defeat other candidates of other parties in the race.

Bamgbose said the loss of the party in the presidential election should not be used to determine the outcome of the governorship election in the state.

He attributed the inability of the party to win the presidential election on the aparthy of the electorate, who he said, believed that the government at the central is not their priority as that of governorship, state assembly and local government elections.

He, however, said that the story would be different on Tuesday, when the electorate would go to the poll for the governorship and state assembly elections.

“Our people regarded last Saturday’s election as not so touching like when we have the one of the people that they can easily see and reach. But when it comes to the next election coming up Tuesday, people would come out en masse to vote for those closer to them. It is then you will see the popularity of ACN,” Bamgbose assured.

He commended the Prof. Attahiru Jega-led Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on the conduct of the election, but urged him to counsel the adhoc staff of the commission on human relations, while calling on Lagosians to turn out on Tuesday and vote for all ACN candidates for the various elective posts.
