A member of Adefemi’s family, Adetunji, explained that he was in his office when Abiodun called and broke the news to him that his younger brother, Olubayo, died in an auto crash in Greece.
The former Eagles defensive midfielder was coming come to finalise his introduction with his fiancée when he met his untimely death.
Adetunji said he was devastated when he received the news and could not do anything in the office that day.
“It was a dark day for me. I almost ran mad because the news came to me as a shock.I am still in a shock because it has been long I have spoken to Bayo.The family of Adefemi are bereaved,†he said.
Asked to describe Olubayo, he said the former Bendel Insurance player was very accommodating and respectful, adding that the family will miss him for many years to come.
