Oba-Elect Canvasses Support For Fashola, Others

The Oba-elect of Iguruland, Aguda, Surulere, Lagos, Chief Buhari Alade Oloto, has appealed to Lagosians to come out enmase next week Tuesday and vote for Action Congress of Nigeria, AC N candidates in the gubernatorial and state House of Assembly elections.

Alhaji Oloto, who is the Olori-Ebi of Itire, Ojota and Oregun royal families, made this plea in an interactive  session with pressmen in his office at Itire, Lagos.

Said Oloto, “Lagosians are satisfied with the impressive success recorded so far by Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN and the AC N administration in Lagos and are therefore willing to vote for the party.

“A vote for the AC N candidates in the next election will ensure smooth governance by the party in the next four years,” he stated.

Oloto who is also the Oba-elect of Iguruland, Agudaland in Surulere, in a statement credited to some top Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, stalwarts in Lagos that the last voting pattern in the Presidential election is an indication that PDP would capture Lagos, Oloto said Lagosians are very mature politically and that they voted for Jonathan as an individual and not party.

“The way I see it, Governor Fashola will sweep the poll like a hurricane.  I predict 85 per  cent   victory  margin  in favour of Fashola,” Oloto said.

Oloto, who is also the Balogun of Oto, Baba Adini of Otoland,  denied newspaper  reports that AC N leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Governor Babatunde Fashola are at war.

“There is nothing like that. The party is intact, it is the handiwork of detractors. I urge stalwarts  electorate to ignore this wicked rumour,” Oloto said.
