The police in Lagos have arrested a suspected thief who specialises in stealing imported cars and buses at the Tin Can Island Port, Apapa, Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria.
The suspect, Obasanjo Martins, 35, according to the Police, on 16 January, 2011 at the Tin Can Island Port, stole a red Toyota Hiace bus containing computers and other items valued at N4m property of Clarion Bondel Terminal situated at Alakija area of Lagos State.
The suspect was arrested by policemen at the port while trying to drive out a stolen car through the last gate of the port.
During interrogation, the suspect allegedly confessed to the crime and blamed the devil for his action.
The police confirmed that the suspect would soon be arraigned before the Igbosere Magistrate’s Court for prosecution.
