The Fashola Campus Fans Club (FCFC), a coalition of students leaders in all Lagos State tertiary institutions has expressed support for Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola in his re-election bid.

The students group said they took the decision after a meeting and deliberations on Monday,11April 2011, where it was unanimously agreed that all students in tertiary institutions in the state should be encouraged to vote en masse for Fashola in Tuesday’s governorship poll.

The group’s convener, Eniola Victor, said: “Governor Fashola has succeeded in justifying his administration stewardship in the last four years, with regard to taking the Centre of Excellence, which Lagos is, to a level of a world class city. While scoring the amiable Governor 75% in the discharge of the duties of his office, we note that the Governor, everyday and in everyway, is eagerly ready to work to revamp infrastructure and make life more abundantfor Lagosians in line with the progressive programmes of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

“What more, the governor, who from the beginning has been moving in a jet-like speed, has not only turned Lagos into a “construction sites” but has indeed achieved results.

“We want to reiterate unequivocally, as we have always done, that the right man to take Lagos State to the next level is BRF. We, therefore, enjoin all students to make our votes count by voting to ensure a better future.”
