CPC Wants Kaduna REC, Police Boss Removed

The Kaduna chapter of Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, has accused the Kaduna Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC and Police Commissioner  of working with some PDP agents to subvert the elections in  the state.

Kaduna CPC Chairman, Alhaji Ahmadu Hussein in an interview with journalists at NUJ Secretariat, Kaduna today  demanded for the immediate  removal of Haliru Tambuwal , Resident Electoral Commissioner in charge Kaduna State as as well as the redeployment of Haruna John, the police commissioner.

According to Hussein, they have both  compromised following their  dealings and meetings with Vice President Namadi Sambo in the previous elections held in the state.

He said if the REC and police commissioner had done the right thing  the post-election violence in the state would have been avoided.

He attributed  the outbreak of violence in the state to the altered April 16  presidential polls results announced by INEC’s returning officer.

Hussein also emphasised  that there was no way PDP can win  a free and fair elections without rigging.

He therefore  called on both  local and international observers to move into Kaduna to monitor the  elections and report all electoral malpractices observed.
