Fashola Sweeping Lagos

Governor Babatunde Fashola is sweeping the governorship election in Lagos State, South West Nigeria from the results gotten from wards and polling units across the state.

 

The results so far showed that the governor, who’s seeking re-election has won in several polling units with landslide margin while the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate, Dr. Ade Dosunmu is trailing Fashola in what appeared to be a non contest.

 

At polling unit 059, Egbeda, where Fashola’s running mate, Mrs. Victoria Orelope-Adefulire voted, the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, polled 436 votes to beat the PDP which polled a mere 23 votes.

 

At Fashola’s ward G3, Surulere, the governor won by polling 317 votes to beat Dosunmu, who polled 16 votes.

 

At polling unit 05, Surulere, Fashola got 192 votes as against the 15 votes scored by Dosunmu, while at polling unit 04 in the same area, Fashola polled 196 votes to beat Dosunmu who got 23.

 

The same goes for polling unit 03 where Fashola polled 169 votes to beat Dosunmu who got 10 votes while at polling unit 02, Fashola scored 61votes as against the 17 votes polled by Dosunmu.

 

In Ikeja, Fashola won in all the wards and polling units monitored so far, scoring landslide victory over his PDP counterpart, Dosunmu.

 

At polling unit 047, Alausa, where former Governor Bola Tinubu voted, Fashola won by a landslide, polling 303 votes to beat Dosunmu, who got 34 votes, while at polling unit 03 in Alausa, Fashola polled 103 votes as against 28 polled by Dosunmu.

 

At polling unit 040, Allen Junction, Ikeja, Fashola scored 103 votes to beat Dosunmu who got 30 votes.

 

At polling unit on Martin Street, Ijeshatedo, Fashola got 292 votes to beat Dosunmu, who polled 17 votes.

 

All over the Lagos metropolis, the news of Fashola’s victory is everywhere as the results declared in many of the polling units showed that he was leading by a wide margin.
