The Lagos State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate, Dr. Ade Dosunmu says he will accept the outcome of the governorship poll in the state if the poll is transparent, free and fair.
Dosunmu, who voted at Ward F I, Polling unit 19 at Yaba Model Nursery and Primary School, Nathan Street, Lagos said there was no need to challenge the outcome of the poll if evidence showed that there was no rigging and that things went on smoothly.
He, however, said he expected the same voting pattern as it was on the presidential poll where President Goodluck Jonathan swept the polls in Lagos State, saying that he expected to win.
“People should stop saying that the people voted for Jonathan and not the PDP. Is Jonathan not a PDP man? Jonathan is PDP and PDP is Jonathan. If they voted for Jonathan, they also voted for the PDP,†he said.
On the evacuation of youth corps members from Kano State by the Lagos State Government, Dosunmu condemned the act, saying the action was too hasty.
He said since Lagos State had evacuated youth corps members from Kano State, what did it expect other states to do?
Dosunmu stated that such hasty decision, could affect the polls in other states, saying that the state government should not have rushed into evacuating youth corps members form Lagos out of Kano State.
