PDP wins Gombe and Benue
The PDP has won two more states, Benue and Gombe, according to the INEC.
It was a closely fought race in Benue, where the incumbent, Governor Suswam was only able to shake off the pursuit of his Action Congress of Nigeria rival, Steven Ugbah by about 70,000 votes. Suswam polled 568,129 votes to Ugbah’s 499,646 votes.
In Gombe however, the PDP candidate, Ibrahim Dankwambo ran away with victory scoring 596,481 votes. His closest rival was Abubakar Aliu of the CPC who got a paltry vote of 91,781.
