Glorious Love International Charity Organisation, GLICO, a non-government outfit, has provided succor to the less privileged in the society by providing them with food stuffs and money.

On Easter Friday, the organisation lived up to its expectations by providing both material and financial support for widows, orphans and vulnerable children in the society. It also paid the tuition fee of some students in various institutions of higher learning.

According to the President of the non-government organization, Mrs. Rachael Akinbisose, described the feat as a command of God, adding that the reason for holding the event this season was to show love to people as Jesus demonstrated on the cross of Calvary when he paid the ultimate price by giving himself up just to redeem the world of its sins.

Mrs. Rachael said the urge to establish the organisation came as a result of her personal experience as an orphan. She claimed to have lost her father at the tender age of 16 and became an orphan four years later when she again lost her mother.

The organisation was established in 2007 with the objective to provide care and love for the destitute, create public awareness on the effect and danger in neglecting widows and orphans respectively and to also encourage orphans in the society to shun criminal acts and engage themselves in something legal.
