Rector Commends ETF
The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Professor Mathew Idowu Ajibero, has described the Education Tax Fund (ETF) as the best government agency in existence.
Ajibero, who made this claim while addressing members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Correspondents Chapel, Kogi State, recently, reiterated that if other agencies can be like ETF, the country will have tremendous improvement.
The rector reminisced that when he got to Kogi State Polytechnic, the institution was regarded more as a glorified secondary school, but it took extra effort by the authorities and support from ETF to make it one of the best today.
“The Education Trust Fund has been very supportive. We have benefited immensely from it. It is the best government agency in the country and if others can emulate its good gesture, the country will be better,†he said.
Campus Square gathered that the institution’s authorities have made laudable effort in making sure that all courses, including Engineering and Environmental Technology, are accredited.
In a bid to make learning more interesting and comfortable for students, the institution has built a new Technology Centre with 100 computers with internet facilities, while efforts to build hostels, among other projects, are in top gear.
“But we still need the support of well meaning Nigerians and corporate bodies to make the dream a reality,†the rector noted.
