Basketball: Erinfolami Named U-16 Coach

The Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF yesterday named coach of First Deepwater Basketball Club, Lateef Erinfolami as Chief Coach of the national U-16 Female Basketball Team.

President of NBBF, Tijani Umar, disclosed this during a press conference at the Media Centre of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.

Umar said Erinfolami, who once played basketball for the country, has excelled in his chosen profession, hence his selection as  coach of the female team.

Responding, Erinfolami admitted that the task ahead of him is enormous, and assured that he would do all within his power to pick the best players that will represent the country in international competitions.

According to him; “My appointment as  Chief Coach of the National U-16 female team is a call to national duty and I will comb the nook and crannies of the country to pick the best basketball players that would do the nation proud in international competitions.”
