‘CEOs Are Sales Persons’
The Managing Director of the Hartfiled-IMC Partnership, Mr. Tosin Oyelese, has enjoined Nigerians not to look down on salespersons, saying that 85 percent of the CEOs of most of the Fortune 500 companies were once sales executives.
Briefing journalists on the company’s mission to change the negative perception of sales people at all levels and backgrounds to become high-achieving revenue generators, Oyelese noted that no other job title attracts more derision in the world of business and yet, “we are all salespeople whether we choose to admit it or not.
“CEOs sell their companies to prospective investors; employees sell their company’s products and services, and men sell themselves to gain the affection of prospective girlfriends. We are all sales people.”
Against this backdrop, he said Hartfield-IMC Partnership is coming together with the common mission and vision of changing the Nigerian business landscape starting with the key area of sales.
According to him, this partnership takes pride in having developed and packaged a training programme which draws on psychology, sales techniques and scientifically-proven principles which have contributed to the continued success of some of the leading organisations in the world.
Over a five-day period, participants will be exposed to the best aspects of peak performance coaching and fundamental sales training. Trainees will be required to sit for an examination at the end of the course and successful candidates will be issued with the MSE Certificate (Gold, Silver or Bronze) which is recognised by NCFE, one of United Kingdom’s leading and respected certification bodies.
